FLAVOUR ORIGINS

Formally known as Mentha, Mint is a family of plants that are widely distributed across most of the planet’s continents. The exact distinction between species is not always clear, and hybrid mints occur naturally where different species' growth ranges overlap.

The substances that give the mints their characteristic aromas and flavours are menthol (the main aroma of peppermint) and pulegone (in pennyroyal and Corsican mint). These distinctive flavours make mint a popular addition to teas, jellies, syrups and candies, while also providing an ideal accompaniment to savoury dishes.

Vegetal and menthol notes combine to offer an intense smell of fresh mint. We only use fruit and sugar from organic farming and filtered water.
